About Jayden Bang

 

Brought up in Korea, Jayden's journey into the culinary world began in his early twenties, right in his home country. Under the mentorship of chef Sungchul Shim, who has since gained fame for his Michelin-starred restaurants Kochi & Mari, Jayden's path took him to a different corner of the world, all in the pursuit of expanding his culinary horizons.

Toronto, Canada marked the next chapter in Jayden's adventure, where he became a part of the dynamic scene at Richmond Station. Starting from scratch as a dishwasher, he diligently worked his way through every facet of the kitchen, delving even into the artistry of pastry, until he achieved the prestigious role of sous chef.

Currently, Jayden is thriving as a sous chef at Park Hyatt Toronto. With a diverse range of experiences, his current goal is to infuse the fantastic flavors of Korea into the local food scene, making a memorable impact in his own creative way.
